I was recently out of college and had gotten a job as an engineer at Westinghouse designing the electronics for nuclear submarines. My wife and I had been "into" spiritual persuits for some time, and I often discussed such things with my co-workers. One older gentleman, Jim, was a technician for our group. He as a total non-believer. He dismissed any experiences I told him about and did not believe in angels, devils, spirits or any other other-worldly phenomenon.
Thus I was surprised one day when he took me aside and very excitedly told me about an experience he had had the previous night. As it turns out an old Army buddy he had not seen for several decades had given him a call and invited him over. Jim told me that he went to his old buddy's house, not expecting anything unusual. After discussing what each had been up to through the years, Jim started tellimg him about me and some of my "nutty" ideas. His buddy listened and then told him that there was nothing nutty about such things, that he had seen and experienced such things himself. Jim remained a total disbeliever. After a while his buddy said "OK, fine. See that ash tray. Where do you want it? How about your lap". Jim sensing some type of joke replied "OK". Where upon the ash tray lifted off the table and floated across the room and dropped into his lap.
Virtually scared out of his mind, Jim said goodby and left immediately. He said he was awake all night, and he was still in a very agitated state when he told me the story the next morning.
I asked if he thought his old buddy would mind if I came over to his place with my family to witness telekinesis first hand. I had only seen film of such happenings before. Jim said he would call him and see. Later that day Jim told me that his buddy would be delighted to have us over that night, and he gave us directions to his place.
That evening Donna and I got ready and were just leaving with the kids when the phone rang. The call was from Carol, someone who we had met the previous weekend at an SFF (Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship) meeting. We did not know her, but had simply said hello to her when leaving the meeting.
She said that she needed to see us immediately. Donna told her that we were just leaving, but could see her the next day. She insisted that it was very important that we see her before going to see the person with telekinesis. We thought it odd that this woman we had only met once knew where we were going but were in a hurry so did not pursue it at that time. Her house was not far out of the way, so we said we would drop by. However she would only tell us which road she lived on, not her address. When we asked for the address, she said that if it is intended for us to find her, we would be able to do so without the number. We found all this puzzleing, but decided to try and drop by anyway.
When we got to her street it was dark. And the street was about a mile long with houses on both sides. How on earth did she expect us to know which house was hers? After driving to the end of her street, we decided to drive back to the Interstate and continue on to the telekinetic's house.
Just before reaching the Interstate however Donna pointed out a man dressed in a 1950's polo shirt and pants standing in the front yard of a house waving his arms at us. "That must be her house there", Donna said to me. I pulled into the driveway and we began getting out. The man was standing in front of the house about 15 feet away. Just then the brake on the car released and the car started rolling. This has never happened before or since. I jumped back in the car and Donna turned to see what the problem was. A few seconds later we looked back to the front of the house and the man was gone. "I guess he went inside" Donna said.
When we got to the front door, we thought it odd that the door was shut, and that Carol had to come downstairs to open the door. Her husband must be pretty rude I thought. She invited us in, and after we got seated commenced to tell me that we were about to visit a person who had telekinesis powers which he derived from the dark side. She said that there were quite a few demons and unclean spirits that were with him, and that if we visited him there was a very good chance we would bring one or more of them back with us. She stated that Donna at that time was vulnerable and that she would likely become possessed by a demon. Well, that scared the daylights out of us to say the least. When I asked how she knew this, and how she got our unlisted phone number, she said that my Guardian Angel gave her all the information. Later when we asked about her husband she said she was divorced. Then we asked who the man was that waved at us. She said there was no man there. We then described him, and she laughed and pointed behind me. Oh, him. He is behind you now. I turned and saw no one. "That is your Guardian Angel Marshall", she said.
Needless to say we decided to NOT visit the fellow that could move things telekinetically. I wondered if this was somehow a big put-on. But I became conviced that it was real when on several other occasions over the years we would meet other psychics who could see spirits and they would almost always say that there was a spirit or an Angel by my side. In every case when I would ask to discribe him they would describe the man in a 1950's polo shirt.
When I got back to work the next day I told Jim what happened. He called his buddy and later told me that his buddy said it was a good thing that we did not come by. He confessed that he was working with the dark side for many years, and although he was trying to separate himself from the evil forces, they were still around and quite powerful.
Thus I have seen my Guardian Angel once that I know of, and know that he has helped me at least that one time. I suspect that he has helped me many times though.
