When I was about 13 years old, my mother and I had decided to go to a church revival one night. It was a good revival...one of those types where a group of missionaries set up a big tent and invite the whole town. They were some of the nicest people I have ever met.
At the end of the revival, my mother and I drove home, her driving and me riding shotgun. The wind was blowing quite well and moving along. It was also a full moon. On the long drive home, I just stared out the window staring at how the clouds raced passed the moon.
The clouds soon slowed down and blanketed the moon. Slowly the clouds began to clear away from the middle and I could see a figure forming. It resembled a figure of Jesus Christ, standing, with his hands outstretched. At first I passed it off as just a shape formed by nature. Remember when you were little, and you used to stare out at the clouds and see things? Exactly. But as I focused a little more on it, it was becoming more distinct and clear. Not like the four-and-a-half legged rhinocerouses that I would see when I was 7 years old. This shape was crisp, clear, and concise. It was just too perfect to be a natural occurence. You could see his hands and the sleeves of his robe. The shape was perfectly symmetrical and was amazing. I called my mom to look at it to make sure that I wasn't seeing things. (I hadn't called her attention to it earlier since she was trying to drive along an unlit country road.)
She first glanced at it and said non-chalantly "That's nice." I then said, "No Mom, LOOK AT IT!" She stared at it and said, "Oh my..." and tried to concentrate on the road. Her head looked like a judge at a tennis match, going back and forth between the moon and the road. After we both saw it for quite a while, the image broke up, the winds increased and went back to normal.
The next day we both agreed that we should have pulled the car over and prayed to God, asking what this meant. Regretfully, we hadn't done that, we just went home and told everyone about it. I firmly believe that God "showed himself" to me so I will never doubt his existence, especially through my teenage years when many people question their beliefs.
I have never seen any ghosts, spirits or anything like that, but I fully believe that this was a miracle sent by God for my mom and myself. Quite amazing and 100% true.
